Training is a blast! Every class is uplifting, motivating, and provides a break from the day to day routines in many of our lives. Many students and instructors feel their time at CMMA is the best part of their week! In fact, at CMMA, we strive to make our classes the best part of our students’ week.
We leave egos at the door—whether you are an adult student, an Instructor, a child in our pee wee class, or a visiting martial artist from out of town. We are all here for the same purpose: to train and to make ourselves and one another better!
The workout is fantastic! Our classes incorporate both cardio and strength building components, so we appeal to a wide variety of fitness related goals.
Knowledge and confidence is gained in every class and are designed around a wide variety of student’s needs. Every training experience should bring a feeling of accomplishment having you leave the dojang (studio) with a feeling of I did something great today!
Classes are affordable at Central Maryland Martial Arts. We believe martial arts are about training, brotherhood and personal growth and NOT about contracts, belt agreements, and trophies. Class times are offered several times a week and you are NEVER locked into a contract.
At CMMA we believe in teaching students to overcome adversary in and outside our walls. The end goal is to develop in each student not just a black belt but an INDOMITABLE SPIRIT in which they can carry with them throughout their lives.
Our CMMA programs focus on building a solid self-defense foundation, in order to prepare individuals for potential real-life situations. Additionally, our classes encourage and condition students for a healthy and active lifestyle. The training regiments push students to build their confidence by overcoming fears and their own unique personal challenges. More so, our classes encourage students to establish team-building skills that allow each other to grow in their training endeavors and form student comradery. The team-like atmosphere creates a welcoming outlet for students to safely and healthily relieve stress and reduce anxiety. Some of the skills students develop--both physical and character based--from our training drills are: improved balance and control, variety of striking , throws, joint locks, disarms, and, respect, integrity, humility, discipline, good work ethic, gratitude, positivity, and patience. At CMMA, we strive to teach our students not only how to be great martial artists, but also to develop them into well-rounded individuals.
